and now beginning with 18th century

we have the age of enlightenment ( ???? ).

Anyway, it sounds like this to me,
before that everyone was irrational and then
they sucked all the reason out of that
reason tree and concluded they has something
better.

I'm not really sure where we are today.
I have to think about it some more
