Memory and Organization

I am trying to get rid of any sense of humor on this blog.
This blog is supposed to be strictly serious. You know?

Stepping back in connection with memory you have some
idea about time.  To begin with time is usually referred to
metaphorically as a river or sand.  So, something that
appears to stand still and is moving or something that
appears to move and doesn't much.   But it's clearly a human
sensation and I'm not sure ( although I could research it )
how much work that has been done comparing human
sensation with animal sensation. For example, has anyone
sat down recently with a dolphin and had a long
philosophical discussion about time?   I'm pretty sure
chimpanzees do not generally measure time in 24 hr
increments ( increments ??? ) but I could be wrong.

One thing that we can say with some certainty in
the human world is that data seem to move easily from
the past to the future.   There is also some
evidence for data moving from the future to
the past though this does at first seem unlikely.

Probably some of the strongest science on the subject is
connected to Ludwig Boltzmann, who worked with
Clerk Maxwell on this subject, relating to the motion of
gases and came up with a couple of clever insights.

Now these studies do connect organization with time,
but I really don't think we've reached the bottom of this
barrel, if we had - ( and surely I could be missing something )
then computer science would really have something
sciencey going on.

One other rather important thing to note is we are
discussing these things in linear terms - meaning data
travels from the past to the future, and from
the future to the past ( perhaps ), but it doesn't seem
to go around corners,  at least that's been noticed.

However, the only conclusion you will get here is
that sciencey is most likely not a " real " word.

I should not fail to mention Dr. Sarfatti's work  which
probably goes further on this subject than anyone else
I am aware of, particularly his conjectures (?) relating
dark energy and time, and also a warning -
Don't argue with Dr. Sarfatti when he's crabby.
But that advice applies to many people.
